Scout

Scout is our class pet this year! He has traveled all the way here from the highest mountains in NC  just to be with our class.

Scout is a very friendly bear. He loves to give hugs and hear stories. He is very playful but also loves a great book. He can also understand when you talk, so make sure to only say nice and polite things in his presence.

Each week, one camper will take Scout home from Thursday - Monday to help him experience life outside of school. If you or your parents are going on a trip to someplace special, your parents can request to take Scout with you!

There are some very important steps to follow when you take care of Scout. Here is a list to help you:

· Be very careful to only say nice or polite things in front of Scout, especially to other people! He loves to see people happy!

· Scout can’t sleep unless you read to him for 15 minutes each night. He likes all kinds of stories, so pick something fun for him to  hear!

· Make sure to take good care of him, his bag, and his travel book. If an accident happens, please tell Ms. Vonglis as soon as possible and we’ll work together to fix it.

· Don’t forget to take between 2 and 5 pictures of your adventures together for Scout’s travel book! (you can email them to Ms. Vonglis to print) Also be sure to write 1 full page in the book so your fellow campers can read all about it.
